Led by one of our Club members, this event has three parts. Come for one or for all. It starts with a 9 a.m. Breakfast Meet-Up in Sugar Grove at the Sugar Grove Cafe. Outdoor/Indoor dining.

Then after breakfast around 10 a.m. there's an open air tour of the Air Classics Museum of Aviation, which is run by veterans. ($10 entrance fee)
After that, to those who want to make it a full weekend, it's on to Galena, Illinois to enjoy the beautiful scenery near the Mississippi river. Camping or cabin (make your own reservation) at Palace Campground. https://www.palacecampground.com/
Or, choose to stay in any bed and breakfast or vacation rental home in the area of your choice.

A group dinner at Vinny Vanucchi's in Galena on Saturday around 5:30 p.m.
Sunday riding home you have options to wander along the Mississippi before heading back to the Chicagoland area.

Hello Fellow Riders. I joined the chapter a couple of weeks ago after attending a Saturday morning breakfast ride to Palmyra, WI. I’ve been a MOA member since about 2000. Now riding a 2018 RT and soon a 2019 F850GSA.
I will be attending the Airplanes and Breakfast ride on the 19th and have decided to spend Sunday night in Galena to ride one of the driftless route that Sunday. It would one of the following: Land of Lincoln route, the Big M route or Sabula-Anamosa route.
If anyone else is staying longer and is interested in joining me please don’t hesitate. I will be staying at a Galena B&B.

Hi Nestor, there are a few people who will be heading to Galen. Join our Thursday Zoom 9/17 meeting and you can get a sense of who is going to Galena and who might stay longer. Weather looks like it’s going to be great.

I am also considering extending my stay with a departure on Monday. Amber at the Palace Campground has been great to work with, and said we can reserve Sunday night in advance, and confirm when we arrive on Saturday.
Hi all~. I plan on arriving Galena on Friday, since it takes me ‘hours’ to set up my tent😝, I decided it was worth a two night stay! Another fellow cycle rider from WI I think is heading down Fri also….any other takers?
