July Club Weekend Ride … Delayed
July 23, 2021 - July 25, 2021
Join the Club (pay on your own) for some wonderful riding in Wisconsin as we head up to Arcadia/Fountain City Area in northwest Wisconsin and the Driftless Area. Destinations tentatively include the Soldiers Walk memorial in Arcadia, WI, and Mindoro Cut, both one of kind places. The riding area is stunning, with beautiful roads and amazing scenery.
Home base is tentatively set at Alana Springs Campground in Richland Center, WI, which includes modern bathrooms and tent camping. https://alanaspringscampground.com
They are holding 4 tent sites for us – to accommodate up to 8 tents.
There is also motel lodging available in Richland Center, WI.
Tentative itinerary:
Friday July 23 – ride to Richland Center, exploring some of the beautiful roads along the way. Several Routes will be recommended, taking from 3.5 to 5 hours from the Crystal Lake area, depending upon if you want to stop for lunch, explore Hyde’s Mill, stop at House on the Rock in Spring Green, or go cheese hunting local cheese venues.
Saturday – suggested route below could take 4.5-6 hours, depending upon if you stop for lunch and how much time you spend exploring. You can build your own as well. Sights to see:
Soldiers Walk Memorial Park – one of a kind place with amazing statuary and history. (funded by founder of Ashley Furniture – pretty neat place – could probably spend 45 minutes viewing the whole park).

Mindoro Cut, Mindoro, WI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mindoro_Cut

Hello, I am an owner of a BMW motorcycle. I am thinking of connecting with like kinds of people. Interested in the Arcadia/Fountain City Area weekend. I have no experience in clubs or organized rides, so here are some questions. Do I need to join the club or can I do that after I experience the couture. Does everyone stay together on the Friday and Saturday ride, or do riders just breakaway as they wish along the route. How many riders are likely to go? How does the camping work, $22 each night, Food is on my own, i’m guessing. Thanks so much. Have a great day.
Hi Jim – Sorry for the late reply. Most of us were gone much of June to various Rallies. Great questions. No you don’t have to join to do a ride weekend. It is a great way to see if the Club matches your wants and expectations. Typically we will have a planned route available that’s sent out ahead of time. But it is optional. Usually we have someone be the host and lead the ride, but many times people choose to break off and ride as they choose. It is pay as you go – so you’re on your own for expenses. I’ll add you to our email list. Newsletter coming out will have details. Hope you can join us!
